Why Give?

At Montfort, every donation—no matter the amount—has a direct and immediate impact on patient care.

The Impact of Your Generosity

Over the past year, your philanthropy has enabled us to provide the hospital with the necessary means to offer exemplary care, including:

Purchase of two garrots for the operating room

Thanks to a donation of $30,000 from Ms. Claude Chapdelaine, a long-time donor and friend of the Foundation, we purchased two garrots for the operating room. These devices are used to interrupt the circulation of blood in a limb during surgery or in case of hemorrhages, in order to ensure a safe procedure.

Surgi-lift slings for the operating room

Provides patients with a smooth transfer from the operating room to the recovery room.

Scholarships

Two $3,000 clinical excellence scholarships were awarded for Francophone nursing consolidation placements in the following disciplines: Maxime Boisvenu-Fortin – Emergency and Meaghan Brown – Family Birthing Center.

Equipment for non-invasive vascular screening of the lower limbs

White noise machine

Teaching video for pre-op hip and knee replacement patients

Blanket warmer

Halloween treats for the staff

iPads donation from the Brigil Family

It is the generosity of thousands of donors that allows us to achieve and maintain excellence and continue to provide exemplary care. With your donations, we can:

Acquire state-of-the-art equipment

Offer state-of-the-art facilities

Support the professional development of the health workforce

Invest in research

Training the next generation of health care professionals

Your generous contribution is an essential part of this process, since it is through philanthropy that the Hôpital Montfort can pursue its mission and distinguished itself as a health care leader.

Montfort and Its Community

Aline-Chrétien Health Hub - Orléans

Under the chairmanship of Mr. Yves Tremblay, the first meeting of the Campaign Cabinet took place on August 27, 2020. Cabinet members, in conjunction with the Foundation’s executive staff, led the silent phase of the campaign – a crucial phase during which they secured more than $6.1 million towards the $12 million goal.

Major gifts secured during the year included an exceptional gift of $1,000,000 from Mr. Yves Tremblay and Mrs. Sylvie Villeneuve who paved the way for the completion of the Aline-Chrétien Health Hub – Orléans.
