The Caza family contributed $100,000 towards the Aline-Chrétien Health Hub – Orléans fundraising campaign.
It was in a family-friendly atmosphere that the plaque commemorating the Caza family’s exceptional gift was unveiled. Mr. Ronald Caza, accompanied by his sisters, Pauline and Marie, and his brother, Paul, as well as Dr. Bernard Leduc, President & CEO of Hôpital Montfort, Yves Tremblay, President of the Campaign Cabinet, Marc Villeneuve, President & CEO of the Montfort Foundation and Julie Briand, Director of Major Gifts at the Foundation, celebrated this contribution, which helped the Foundation surpass its campaign objective.
During his speech, Mr. Tremblay shared his impressions of Mr. Caza, whom he knew by reputation from his career as a lawyer, but nothing more. “Before I met Mr. Caza, I knew he was a good salesman. But I didn’t know he was also a philanthropist. In short, he’s a jack-of-all-trades, the full package!” a comment that made this “salesman of the good cause” smile.
Looking at the plaque offered by the Foundation, which celebrates the name “Caza”, Mr. Ronald Caza recalled his childhood memories and those of his parents: “My parents would be proud to see this plaque hanging on the wall of the Family Birthing Centre at Montfort, an institution that defends the French language, first and foremost by being able to workhere in that language” he says. He also had a special thought for his father, who was not admitted to the Knights of Columbus because of the quality of his French, which they deemed inadequate.
It was with great emotion that he expressed this wish: “…to see my grandchildren having their own children at Hôpital Montfort.” – Mr. Ronald Caza
