It was on a sunny day with many smiles and good spirits that the Foundation held its first Dr. Bernard Leduc Annual Classic.  It was also the first tournament to take place at the Hylands Golf Club, a PGA and Canadian Forces Golf Association course.  

As with every tournament, there are emotional moments. A special thanks to Mr. Albert Lefebvre of Acc-Par Systems Ltd, who has made Montfort his priority for several years.  Mr. Lefebvre presented cheques totalling $50,580, which were gratefully accepted by Mr. Dominic Giroux, President and CEO of Hôpital Montfort.  These donations were contributed by local businesses and friends whom he rallied to our cause.

In addition to being a benefit event in support of Hôpital Montfort and the well-being of our community, this tournament is an opportunity for participants to get together in a friendly setting.  This year, in addition to Canadian professional golfer and PGA Todd Keirstead, the LumberJaxe team was on location to entertain the golfers.  Among the winners of the various contests, Mrs. Estelle Patenaude won the 50/50 draw worth $1,075, of which she chose to donate $500 to the Foundation.
